He is a father, husband and brother. He has dedicated his time to exploring the advancement of "Human Technology", the concept of bringing out the full potential in people. He is also the founder and CEO of the Warriors Academy.
Rowena is currently the Program Director for the Warriors Academy and is passionate about the growth and development of young people. She has a passion for the outdoors and adventure. Working with young students has provided her with insight into the struggles and challenges that these students are facing. This is why she is so passionate about the work being done by the Warriors Academy. There is no greater feeling than knowing that you have changed the course of someone's life and given them the self-belief to go after their dreams.
Ruan is the Adventure Expert at the Warriors Academy and a natural leader. He is passionate about adventure and the outdoors and has seen first-hand how being part of the Warriors Academy has changed many students lives. He motivates and develops leaders, teaching powerful life principles and producing highly focused and energetic young adults using adventure and extreme sports as a channel.
Tumi is a Marketing Executive for a well known South African company and was also the first official recipient of the Viljoen Scholarship. She has a Bcom Marketing degree and is passionate about affording students, who do not have the finances to join these programs, with the opportunities that this scholarship provided her. She is also passionate about running, adventure and the outdoors and is living proof that dynamite comes in small packages.
Howard is passionate about education and has been involved in the development of educational institutions for more than 38 years. He was the founding Chairperson of the independent English medium boarding school in Limpopo Province, Stanford Lake College, and the Chairman of Unicorn Preparatory School for eight years.
He has farmed near Tzaneen, in the Limpopo Province in South Africa, for 47 years and runs his own nursery, growing subtropical crops. Howard is a horticultural consultant and naturalist, an author and poet, and a businessman with an entrepreneurial flair.
